Reading Campaign
Read to 5,000 Children in a Week!
November 16-20, 2009.
November 19 is National Parent Involvement Day and our AVANCE parents will be leading the way on our reading campaign at 15 AVANCE school sites.
We could use YOUR help, and it will be FUN! Just 20-30 minutes in a classroom 2nd grade and below. To get involved, just do three things:
1) identify a school where you would like to read by visiting http://www.avance-elpaso.org/programs/parent-child-education-program/
2) sign up by contacting Margie Sanchez the coordinator at msanchez@avance-elpaso.org or 351-2419.
3) follow through or let Margie know if something comes up and you are unable to meet your commitment.
We are doing this again in April, the month of the child, and specifically April 11-15.
