June 2009 – by letter
I would like to share a few words of appreciation to all AVANCE employees since I have reached the end of my 2 years in this program. I did not know the significance of the name AVANCE, but with time I learned to decipher it. Advancing and not staying in the same place and taking advantage of every class to the maximum so that we can give 100% of our time.
A de alcanzar nuestras propias metas – reaching our own goals.
V de valor por no tenerle miedo al cambio – the value of not being afraid of change.
A de admitir nuestros errores y cambiarlos – admitting our mistakes and changing them.
N de necesidad por aprender nuevas cosas – the need to learn new things.
C de conocimiento porque al tenerlo lo implementamos a los hijos – gaining knowledge so that we are able to
implement it with our children.
E de enmendar y darle un nuevo sentido a nuestras vidas educandonos
mejor – improving and giving a new meaning to our lives by educating ourselves.
AVANCE is like a home that opens its arms as much as it can so that it can educate more women, with the purpose of giving their children a better education and having a better development of the family. I feel very proud of being part of this program and have developed a seed within me to avanzar – to advance. To advance in all that I set myself to accomplish. Even though there are obstacles in life, there are also opportunities that we must take advantage of. This is why I ask all the moms of this program to take advantage of each minute, each hour and each day to be able to advance. This will improve your lives. I only say to you ‘thank you’, ‘muchas gracias’, for the progress I obtained with my family and with myself.
Gracias.
